Our Services
The phrase “No place to run, no place to hide” aptly describes the daily reality of people living with MCS. Our services are of the type customarily offered in the community to the public. However, those services are typically not accessible to people with MCS, often making them worse - the fragrance laden environments within which the services are offered leave them excluded from the associated benefits.
Our services are specially designed by and for and exclusively offered to individuals living with MCS and other conditions adversely impacted by exposure to fragrances and other chemicals.
Providing expertise in the areas of inclusion, accessibility and wellness, we work with and for people living with MCS. Our specialized expertise, innovative thinking and sound guidance help create individualized, human-centric solutions that embody equity, inclusion, and full participation in society and wellbeing for people with MCS.
In serving the needs of people living with MCS, we serve the needs of the broader community, of community space, and that of the planet.
At the heart of everything we do is access to “Accessible Air” - an environment that is to the greatest extent possible, least toxic, lowest emission, and fragrance-free.
Alongside working to improve the lives of people living with medical conditions involving the experience of adverse health reactions to commonly used everyday chemicals, we work to improve environmental health and the health of our planet.

Fragrance Free Friends

Friendly Visiting
Complete exclusion and isolation from society are common to the experience of many disabled by MCS. Friendly visitors with lived experience will be carefully matched to your needs and interests, and come to you where you are most comfortable and safe.

Advocacy
Advocacy is a powerful tool to influence outcomes and achieve change. Self-advocacy is the practice of representing yourself and your interests, needs, and rights in various aspects of life. However, self-advocacy can be daunting for those would are not well and face strong resistance and stigma. We offer individual advocacy - guidance and assistance when you can’t do it on your own.
Our advocates are here to support and assist you in accessing the services, benefits and accommodations you need to lead change in your life. As systemic advocates we work for long-term social change to make sure legislation, policies, practices, and structures support the rights and interests of people living with MCS.

Peer Support

Education and Awareness
We inform and educate people about MCS and other medical conditions involving the experience of adverse impacts with exposure to common everyday chemicals including fragrances. We do so to influence attitudes and behaviours to encourage people to think differently about the issue and to change their actions and opinions. By raising awareness, we aim to mobilize action and build a base of public support that can be leveraged to advocate for change and influence decision-making.

Personal Support and Homemaking
MCS can be so debilitating that personal support services are required to help with activities of daily living such as washing and bathing, hair care, preventative skin care, routine hand or foot care, getting in and out of chairs or beds, dressing and undressing, eating and more. Likewise, assistance with homemaking is often needed. For instance, help is needed with housecleaning, doing laundry, shopping, banking, paying bills, meal planning and preparation, and caring for children. We connect your needs with service providers that likewise need fragrance free environments.

Delivery
People disabled by MCS often can’t go out in public. Additionally, they are adversely impacted by the exposure to chemicals use by delivery persons and the delivered items that are then contaminated. To alleviate this, we offer the delivery of groceries and other small items by people with lived experience.

Transportation
For people with MCS, the inaccessibility of public and private transportation services is their reality. This is true even for so called “accessible” or “specialized” transportation that is available in their community. We provide transportation that is “accessible” and “specialized” to the needs of people living with MCS and provided by volunteers with lived experience.
